Autologous Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is the injection of a substance into the middle layer of the skin, i.e. the dermis. Autologous mesotherapy involves the use of material derived from the patient’s own blood. It is a widely used procedure with impressive results on the condition of the face, neck and décolleté. In medical aesthetics it is also used for hair loss treatment as autologous hair mesotherapy.

Technique

Using a syringe, we collect the patient’s blood, as a simple blood draw. We then place the blood into special vials containing anticoagulant fluid. We place the vials in a centrifuge and perform double centrifugation for a specific time. From this process the blood is separated into its components, i.e. red blood cells, white blood cells and plasma. We isolate that part of the plasma that is rich in platelets and growth factors. We then insert calcium gluconate into it , which is a powerful activator of growth factors, and in this way we have prepared the fluid to be used for mesotherapy.

After cleaning the skin very well with antiseptic, we apply anesthetic cream on the area making the treatment virtually painless. . Then, using a syringe with a very thin needle, we inject the autologous mesotherapy material into the upper layer of the chorion so as to create a pouch. We make bumps around the treatment area leaving approximately 10 mm space intervals. We then apply a reconstructive cream to allow the irritation to subside.
1. At younger ages we do 3-4 sessions with an interval of 20-30 days. Repeat after 1 year

2. In older ages the optimal sessions are 4-6 sessions. Therefore, it is advisable that you do a maintenance treatment after the first six months. Repeat after 1 year.

Result

A few days after the autologous mesotherapy the skin appears hydrated, radiant and firm. Once the above protocol is applied, the skin looks significantly more tightened and rejuvenated, due to the substantial amount of collagen and elastin produced as a result of the procedure. This helps the areas with fine wrinkles as well as improves the texture of the skin. The results are impressive, which is why autologous mesotherapy is one of the most popular medical aesthetic treatments worldwide.
